The Morrígan is a figure from Irish mythology. The name is Mór-Ríoghain in Modern Irish, and it has been translated as "great queen" or "phantom queen". The Morrígan is mainly associated with war and fate, especially with foretelling doom, death, or victory in battle. In this role she often appears as a crow, the badb . 

This necklace has been created using a 'blood' feather from a crow. Blood feathers have long been connected with witchcraft and magick, and it is quite rare and hard to find naturally shed blood feathers (in the growth cycle of feathers on a bird, the blood feathers are the newest feathers to grow).
